Wrongo! The report clearly states the other investigations have not yet concluded (not surprising given the stonewalling, etc.). This could even be good strategy because I suspect once Slick is gone, the stonewalls may crumble. JLA

Keep in mind that this is just the initial report. Starr needed to get this out before the leaks got out of hand (as to who was leaking, well, we may or may not find out in the end, but historically BC's office has been the most professional and skillful leaking machine in modern history). There will be more to come.

But I'm not disappointed because I look at this from a lawyer's point of view, not from a politician's (and remember, Starr is a lawyer, not a politician, which is why the WH ate his lunch in the PR battle). Legally he had to lay out the evidence -- have you been through an American trial? Cases are built on detail after detail after detail. That's what he did -- laid out a comprehensive trail of specific provable details which lead to one inescapable conclusion:

William Jefferson Clinton (nee Blythe), while acting as President of the United States, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Justice Department, Chief Executive Officer of the FBI, Commander in Chief of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, while in office and at his post of duty, intentionally and knowingly committed multiple felonies, not in the pursuit of national interests but purely in the interests of protecting himself from being held accountable and responsible for improper actions which he voluntarily undertook.

Period. End of Sentence. End of Presidential Term.

<<I think the republicans are going to need to do some serious damage control. >>

Something I don't understand and I haven't seen discussed before - the Attorney General ordered the investigation and has been directing it. Why are the Republicans going to need damage control? They haven't been bashing Clinton over anything other than the affair, which has been somewhat admitted to. I can see where Starr might have some explaining to do, but why the Republicans? How could they have stopped Starr when they had absolutely no control over Reno (as can be seen from their various attempts to try)? Of course, they wouldn't have any reason to try to stop Starr, but they also couldn't have any idea what he had found.
