Whatever the case, there's opportunities for someone out there.

Only if you believe the market wasn't overvalued to start with... I think longterm P/Es are going to move back to 15 from the 20s they were at last time I checked.

Only companies posting growing revenues (like Dell, and perhaps like Apple if "the world according to Phil" comes about) will deserve higher P/Es, all others will pull back and steady around P/Es of 15.
