Piper Jaffray said it is keeping its neutral rating on ORACLE
CORP after the company reported better than expected earnings for
the 1Q. In its research note, Piper said the earnings
outperformance is primarily the result of expense control. Says
application license revenue growth continues to diappoint. Retains
neutral rating due to international exposure and year 2000
overhang. (Reuters 10:09 AM ET 09/11/98)

* Everen Securities said it lowered its intermediate-term rating
on ORACLE CORP, the world's largest database software company, to
