Dr., it is only understandable from the point of view that people who engage in extramarital affairs go to great lengths to cover them up. When viewed in that light only, he did what any other cheating husbnd would do, he lied to conceal it. I concur with you that he has disgraced himself, as do all cheating spouses. And yes, he has disgraced the American people. Holding the highest office in the land should have led him to conduct himself with more decorum. As to how many other lies accompany this, who can say? You can argue either way on this, I don't choose to. My post, however, addressed the rather drastic remedy of impeachment, and whether it is appropriate here. Resignation has saved at least one ex-President from impeachment, and given the sensational nature of this report and the way many people are reacting to it, it may save yet another. The last President to resign was involved in a burglary, not an extramarital affair. Is one worse than the other? I think so, but I agree that neither is appropriate for a President. One last thought, though. What does this have to do with Whitewater?

Good Dr. Thank you for saying what I would like to be able to but unfortunately every time this POS a.k.a. POTUS comes to mind all I can do is shiver with disgust. Been that way since election day 92. My older children decided to wear black to school the next day in utter despair. Whenever this person is presented to me in the media I simply can not bear to watch. After today I have truly been exposed to way too much. Therefore must concur with you the POTUS is a POS. So gold hit $300 today before pulling back. The news of Brazil's rate hike to keep the dollar from exiting didn't help in the short run I suppose. Only holding NEM at present. If we get a rally like many expect next week, I'll try to find some decent short term shorts. Basically been trading on the fly this week - using short term technicals to find weakness. Took a trade on SUT on the way down. Found that big block sells on stocks with recent runs are a good starting point for finds.
