John, Great post. I was also disturbed by this particular use of internet technology, and Starr's rush to get this out before the White House could have much of a chance to formulate a response. However, I think (and hope) after reading much of the report that it will backfire on Starr and his cronies. It reads more like a Judith Krantz novel than a well-crafted legal document, thus showing his true intentions. I don't think he had much of substance, and his hope is that be being as graphic as he could be people would be as horrified as he was. What he hasn't banked on is that the nation knew who Clinton was when they elected him (though we didn't have to see him in such detail). I suspect that many will be horrified by the breach into Clinton's privacy as by his actions. Also, many (including myself) think its far different to lie about an illicit affair than it is about a national matter. I picture the pathetic Kenneth Starr sitting in the bathroom reading his report while doing what Monica was doing with the cigar. JB

John, The Internet seems to be the closest thing to a cultural anarchy; I guess we just have to take the bad with the good. Ibexx
