Doniam:

Do I understand your use the Rydex-Spy connection correctly? When you feel the market trend is up early in the day, you buy Spy and place a Rydex Nova buy at 1545-Eastern time, then sell Spy at closing to lock in holdings? And the converse with a down market, shorting SPY and transferring to Ursa? Why not just hold the SPY position?

I am interested in learning more about how you play the funds on a daily basis, and wonder if you have given thought to using the metal-oriented Rydex fund in your switching method?

I've been trading via my Waterhouse account. I was told within the last month that the minimum entry cost was $10K for a non-IRA. I know your $25K figure was correct when I spoke directly to Rydex last year. To the best of your knowledge, has that Rydex entry fee remained constant following the "reverse split" about a month ago?

Ciao, Ted

Thanks, doniam. That does sound fairly simple and convenient; it sounds better to just go with Rydex directly.
