As a young, naive, person I once dreamed of being President. What I said or dreamed of as a child has little to do with later activities. Being as naive as she was to actually verbalize her wishes - it is clear that she was naive enough to act on them without fully understanding what she was getting herself into.
Do I feel sorry for her? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Does she deserve an apology from a man who supposedly knows better? ABSOLUTELY.

Here's one for you....a 16 year old girl has a crush on you and starts making her "wishes" known to you. She's legal (as the saying goes), and quite fetching. Do you follow through?
I won't answer that one, because I think the answer is evident. People often do odd things, and it is up to the more mature and prudent person of the two to take control and make the situation go away. Especially when the relationship is derived from an office environment.
