OT. Protecting people around him? How about calling Dick Morris to the White House in January and saying: I am thinking about coming clean. Could you do a poll and see what gives? Dick Morris after poll taking: Nope. People are not ready for this. Rest is history and more of those tax dollars spent.
Quotes are not exact. It's from memory.

BTW. Why was Morris asked to leave? I don't remember him lying. Did Starr initiate that?

I am not on a Moral trip but lying under oath by a President should not fall under a private matter. You can't do it in the Armed Forces, even if it IS just SEX.

Michelle: You seem to have a better understanding about Clinton, Starr and his persecutors. What president did was wrong. He hurt his family and friends more than he hurt this nation or any modicum of law. Yes, you are right, the president was trying -lying -to protect his family and friends around him. What he did with Monica was sin, by his own admission. No High crimes were committed. National security was not compromised. The white lies he told under oath are not high crimes. Don't lawyers lie in the court all the time to serve their clients? Lie is a lie no matter who says it. Then why is that his lie under oath is any different. I think we and the legislative body should let him finish his term. I don't see any point why these disgustingly minute details of a private encounter should be published in the internet, where any kid can read. With these kids, all the Monicas of the world become butt of jokes.

Michelle Harris: re: <<Who wants a president that is going to blurb out the gory details of his personal life...>>

I want a president who has the sense not to create gory details in his personal life when he is doing the business of the highest office in the United States. I don't believe it's his personal life when he is conducting the business of the United States whilst an intern performs fellatio on him.

re: <<not condoning what Clinton did>>

It seem to me that's exactly what you're doing: Condoning it.

re: <<...this "lying under oath" crowd, you seem to have no honor...>>

Excuse me? Who has no honor?

re: <<remember this man was protecting people around him.>>

Nonsense! He was lying to protect his own hide.

Michelle: "...remember this man was protecting people around him."

Given what has happened to the people around him as a direct result of his own behavior, this is hardly the man I want protecting me from anything.

Stand by your man, yes. But let him make a fool of you over and over again? No.
