Zoltan, gee, I guess Matt Drudge doesn't fear Sid Blumenthal. Sid Blumenthal and the rest of Team Spin are an interesting concept. The citizens of a democracy have to pay their taxdollars to a government which in turn pays people whose day-in day-out job is to consciously orchestrate their manipulation and limit the information available to them upon which to base their political decisions. There will be a lot of discussion over the next several days over the intentions of our Founding Fathers, who met here in Philadelphia only a few blocks away from where I sit. I don't need to conduct a seance in front of Independence Hall to tell you that this is not what our Founding Fathers intended. It is corrosive to the concept of a fully-informed citizenry. The Clinton White House has acted as if the timing and packaging of ideas is more important than their content. IMHO, the scariest thing about the last 8 months is the degree that it has been successful. The James Carville's of the world have been taking a wizz on the graves of our Founding Fathers for a little too long and I'm a little sick of it. Sorry, to go on, but I saw Ann Lewis last night on Larry King Live and I can't believe that after all that's happened, after Ann Lewis actively perpetrated a lie, she could sit there playing the role of "grandma spin"...come to think of it... ...someone please tell the "right-wing conspiracy" that it might not be a bad idea to run with...
