Med devices not too sexy, biotech much more exciting,
but so long as you guys aren't talking about the sort
of micro-cap biotechs that I have*, I'll put down a
device company suggestion.

How about Utah Medical, UM. Book $3 trading at $5,
down from $20, only been at this level a couple times
in the last eight years. PE 9, earnings stable, supposed
to earn $0.16 this quarter, attempting to grow a bit
through aquisitions
biz.yahoo.com

latest report is pretty stale though, costs $16.
Josephthal & Company, Inc. issued a Company Report on
March 12, 1998 for Utah Med Prod.

*Okay, that out of the way, please buy for the fund
ARIA, BTRN, CTIC, HYSQ, NTII, and SIBI...these poor
guys need some publicity. To borrow the title of another
topic here on SI: "Help, my stocks have fallen and they
cant get up", hehe.

GSII will not be moving till the abritration date is settled which was supposed to be in early July. If GSII wins, (unlikely that they don't) Origin (a divsion of Guidant) will not be able to sell there product. GSII and Origin are the only products out there. If GSII wins, they will be the only game in town.. Origin had 60 million of sales last year. GSII's selloff recently is purely a fund dumping. (see level II) Until there is some news on the arbitration, this will be going nowhere. Once the story starts catching on, I think this stock will fly and my personal view is Guidant or Johnson and JOhnson will take the cash this company has and take them out. When that will happen, god only knows.

Man there are some bargains out there. GSII trades at less than 70% of book value,
and 75% of cash value. 40 million in cash with a 30 million market cap and products in
the market. Granted they are slow to be adopted, but they are still great products. Time
for someone to step up and acquire these sorts of companies. Looking to acquire any
med devices any time soon?
