Doug, I've left 12 browsers or so open for better than a week, using the internet for 8 hours a day, and haven't had a problem lately of running out of resources.

It probably depends on what browser you're using and what sites you visit. For example, I used to use MSIE 3.x, and found that whenever I got quotes from Datek I would lose memory. I found this by keeping my system resource meter running and then checking my resources after every move. But invariably this combination of MSIE 3.x and Datek would crash my computer a couple times a day. I then discovered that if I kept hitting the back button between quotes I could regain my lost memory. I've since upgraded to MSIE 4.0 and they seem to have fixed that memory leak.

So I'd suggest running your resource meter all day and watching it closely until you can find where you're losing your memory. Once you know where you're losing it, you may be able to figure out how to avoid the loss, such as by hitting your back button.
