You may be right. I'm not defending him. Agreed, his defense is almost non-existent. Almost as good as "I didn't inhale". Personally, I wish he would just resign to clear the decks. But .... that doesn't mean he will be impeached. It's all politics now - Congress can do anything they want to do. Don't forget - anybody sitting in the president's chair will look great with this economy. The last thing the Republicans want is for Gore to get 2 years worth of gold stars for doing nothing. He could be president for 10 years. On the other hand, you can't go against the polls. We should know the trend by Monday. Most politicians will follow the polls - that's their sole reason for existence - to do what the people say. One great thing to come out of this is that no president will ever try this stunt again.
