Once you get the employees really working to cut costs and work more efficiently, the LAST thing you want to do is ease the pressure just as it is starting to work well.... Many of us were told to take last week off as vacation to get that number down to improve financials. It would not help moral to announce "oh yeah, things look better now..." Much better to keep the screws tight so we can deliver some really good numbers for a change.
