iq, thankQ for this post.<The 500MHz Tanner chip with 512KB of cache is due in the first quarter of 1999> . Is this a published schedule or u happen to know it. 1. Do u know when boxes will available w. these chips? is immidiately afterwards or would it take 3-6 months for integration? 2nd question...actually more important. Do you think in slow growth enviornment there would be such a high demand to replace upgrade the machines? will the glut we see in semi again translate into inventory problems? i think the whole industry moving to JIT method will help the box makers but what about intel?
