People are quite willing to lob in the seasonal affects (effects?)factor. I understand the intention, but isn't seasonal demand still demand? Does it not absorb capacity? Moreover, isn't half of a year a substantial amount of time...Kinda like saying: the demand for the product was great during the daylight hours, but it was somewhat tempered by the fact that demand dropped off when the sun went down???

Intel always writes down inventory --every quarter when prices are declining (which is, every quarter). Some would say that this is a very conservative approach to inventory accounting. Just as it is conservative to expense "one time write-offs."

I do agree with you on the "too early to tell if the industry has turned" statements. Just whining.
