I see no need to pose questions to myself about this. However, you may be right that a large majority of people do. Obviously. They have failed to see the bigger picture here, and are focussed on lurid activities.
Americans are always in need of asking a question or two...so that goes without saying. They are always easily distracted by something. The horror of war, the shame of hunger, the disgust of blood taking crimes, the lurid details of sex.
Just because Clinton is in the muck, doesn't make this a special situation. If we asked ourselves questions constantly, then this matter would be over already and Clinton would have been deposed ages ago. As a result of our easily misdirected attention, Clinton has continued his charade for several extra years. I applaud him for his cynicism and ability to fool most of the people most of the time. Barnum would be proud.
