Robert, China is actually having to buy $US in the Shanghai exchange market to keep the yuan value down? scmp.com Other updates on China economy scmp.com scmp.com While China's import/export situation is in good shape, they do not take into consideration the lower prices. If these are factored into the numbers, China's import/export situation is much better. Japan's trade surplus has shown major growth but it's due to much lower imports rather than strong exports.
