Martin, Thaks for the info. I was also looking at the particulars, you can convert the preferred to 4+ shares of common but I wondered why the disparity in price. Even considering the Yield the price seemed high. OTOH, when I saw the preferred price dropping quickly over the past few weeks, I began considering it as a possible place to put money and get better than savings bank returns. That combined with my outlook for gold warranted further investigation. Here's some other preferreds, for what it's worth: quote.yahoo.com regards, gary
