BC, two books for starters;
Technical Analysis from A to Z, by Steven Achelis
Using Technical Analysis, by Clifford Pistolese.. Pretty good for a starter.
Carol has a list of sites that would be helpful, perhaps she is among the living...
Lots of luck and stay loose.. Very Loose!

Hi, BC ...

Carl mentioned I might have some sites for research ... You might try these. The first one used to be a great link for candlestick basics and beyond basics ... (haven't been there in a long while so I don't know if it's still viable). The Hard Right Edge used to give a lot of educational material for free (don't know if that's still the case).

tradertalk.com

hardrightedge.com

geocities.com

traders.com

Anyway, Good Luck and Happy Trades!!

Carol

P.S. If you are interested in Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques, you might want to check out the same by Steve Nison ... However, before you shell out the $70+ for the book ... you might do just as well at some of the sites ... It's amazing the education you can get on the internet for free!!
