Sandra -- I regret if you took offense at my criticism of your post about LEAP, back in July, on TokyoMex's thread. However, I will not concede that TM is engaged in exchanging "opinions" and debating ideas. The evidence strongly suggests that he takes a large position in a stock to cause it to jump in volume and make it look like the stock is on the move. He then apparently pumps the stock to continue to try and move the price up, and then sells and leaves naive investors holding way overpriced shares. Anybody who participates in such a process of manipulation is open to legitimate criticism. If you recall, my criticism of your post on TM's thread was done with civility and without any name calling. Here's the post:Message 5107179 Sandra, I hold you in high regard and value your opinions. It's just that I happen to disagree with TM's apparent stock manipulation and the harm it causes, and on a few occasions I've stated so. If the worst accusation one can raise against me is that on rare occasions I have publicly criticized TM (and those who participate in his activities) with civil, factual posts, then I stand guilty. I think the issue here is not disagreement, but whether we have the maturity and moral compass that allows us to disagree with facts rather than name calling and with civility rather than personal attacks. You also stated: "As far as Sergio goes, his character is one of the highest on SI...." I agree. That's why I have been so disappointed with his personal attacks and name calling (both publicly and in his PM's to me). He has yet to state what he finds so objectionable. If he would do so, and it becomes clear that I have actually done something that caused legitimate offense, I will be the first to apologize. Finally, I apologize to you if you feel that my post back in July on LEAP, TM and you crossed the line. That was not my intent. -- Jim
