Could Slick be hanging on for another reason? He has run up an untold number of legal fees. Thanks to his own tax increase a person has to earn $2 in order to pay off 1$ of debt. After expenses, payroll taxes and income taxes are subtracted about 50% of each earned dollar remains. Therefore if Slick owes $4,000,000 he would have to earn $8,000,000 to get to zero. If he resigns, his earning capacity would be severely curtailed. Could he be hanging on because he is really a card carrying member from the decade of greed?
