<<Granted, President Clinton appears to have conducted his private sex life on a level of
discretion and sensitivity far lower than that of former French president, the adroit and
sophisticated Francois Mitterand, and of course his was not an enduring and loving,
mutually supportive relationship with the woman outside his marriage, as was the case
with Mitterand>>

No question about it, our boy Clinton is more the Pee Wee Herman type.

Those of us who didn't vote for him never even considered his lurid past. We recognized his character flaws for what they were...a danger to us all.

It's nice to compare us to other countries and show how we don't live up to them. Unfortunately, on many more matters they don't hold a candle to us. As a result, I think most would willingly trade Clinton/Lewinsky for all the other benefits we, as US citizens have. Can we improve? Sure, but I'm not gonna dwell on it. I'm fine, and that's all I need to be concerned with.

His first flaw was actually long before he even go in office. He claimed we were in the midst of some horrific recession. Let's review:
3 consecutive negative GDP quarters are a "recession".
In 1991/1992 there were but 2.
GDP rose in the 4th quarter of 1992, and the 1st of 1993 (both Bush budget quarters) - and Clinton claimed to have saved the economy.
"It's the economy, stupid" was a great mantra, but had no bearing on reality. It was a ploy, and a stunt, that worked. Good for him.
His foreign policy is a shambles.
He has sold the country to the highest bidder (recent additions to several national parks HAPPEN to contain low-sulfur coal deposits that were due to be auctioned off. Oddly, the Lippo group is the largest producer/provider of low-sulfur coal. Oddly, Lippo gave Clinton a vast sum of money.....HMMMM - can you say interesting coincidence?)
China. Starr spent alot. Clinton spent more to visit China. We have made no significant gains there. In fact, some feel that our relationship has worsened. What did China get (for their campaign donations)? A guarantee on the number of commercial rocket launches of US material. As a result, they were able to pick up top-secret military computer hardware when one of their launches went awry.

Finally, ALOT of women voted for Clinton because of his "feminist" views. How come feminists remain quiet now? How come they don't admit that his actions in the Oval Office amount to sexual discrimination (look it up...I went through 3 hours of stupid HR training to learn that even if it's consensual I can be liable)?

Face it. People who voted for this boob are embarassed and looking for anything they can to continue to support him....even if they have to engage in some double-think.
