soar, mental stops would be good. I don't like stop-loss orders,
because the MMs see you coming. When I DID use them last December
(on another stock), my stock managed to get sold at the low of the day, with 3 trading minutes to go. While analysts' estimates are unreliable and can be changed, it worries me that ESV earnings are projected to fall severely for '99. How do you value a stock with falling earnings?
$1.80 and $1,67 are the present consensus estimates for FY98 and
FY99, respectively. I hope the '99 estimate will be revised upward
when crude price rises.
