<You'd have to be blind to see that an investigation that started out with Whitwater
and ends with only Monica Lewinsky really had as its aim to embarrass the
President, hang on to the house, and win the presidency in 2000...> Jim,I agree,I am on your side---the fact is the sex lives of
many of Presidents have been wild---Jefferson with a boat load of illegimate children---Harding had sex with ladies in the a whitehouse
closet,Eisenhower had a mistress,Kay Sommersby, and Kennedy, well we know that he had much out of bounds sex in the whitehouse---the difference now to then--it was simply not a matter for public discussion---that is until Starr came along--this is NOT a morality
issue(on which count Clinton has flunked) but a case of Starr starting with Whitewater, the whole purpose of his investigation, and coming up
empty--but driven by a total fanaticism to destroy Clinton just kept digging and digging and voila! he found Clinton's achilles heel and
is going to use this in an attempt to bring down the whole ruling
party of the moment, this is a totally politically motivated passion now that the religious right will use to the extreme--but the hard cold fact is Starr and company already have their victory--they have
successfully humiliated Clinton, made him a laughing stock---in a better time we all would not have known of any of this just like with all the others past presidents--AND THE GOVERNMENT would have just kept
on ticking and regards sex, everybody would just mind there own damned business.Countries that bring down government based on sexual piccadiloes are heading into deep trouble and this is just one more reason I am going to base my investing on volatility leading into
prolonged bear market at some point.Since everybody on SI is having their say today on their feelings on this--I have expressed mine--
so be it--my next post will be on STOCKS,as I think we should get this out of our system and get back to investing--except this issue shall have a profound effect on the market place---especially the foreign market place, and currency and all that JAZZ. Max

Jim, a former 13er came up on my value scan. Here's my initial research:

TTN has been transforming itself from a defense communications company to an information systems company by making internal changes and by acquisitions. In 1997 TTN organized itself into five divisions; communications systems, software systems, information technologies, medical sterilization and food pasteurization, and emerging technologies and businesses. This year the Company has acquired DBA Systems Inc., for about $36 million in stock ,VisiCom, an information technology solutions firm for $25 million and Horizons Technology, a provider of systems and program management services, for $19 million.

Revs./Profits by division:
Communications systems 29%/$1,07
4Software systems10%/4,580
Information technologies51%/8,771
Medical sterilization/food pasteurization4%/189
Emerging technologies/businesses6%/-25

Of note:
In August 1998, TTN received a one-year, $7.5 million U.S. Navy contract for submarine radio communications equipment, with options for four years that could bring the total value to $74 million.
Earlier this year TTN won a contract to provide Y2k services for the state of Wisconsin.
In June 1998, TTN withdrew a planned IPO to spin off Linkabit Wireless due to market conditions.

Buy. Has reached the critical mass needed to compete as a modern defense company. There are a series of catalysts that could drive the share price in the near term. They include spinning off minority interests to the public in its subsidiaries, winning large defense contracts, getting food-pasteurization orders for its Surebeam Systems, which kills E.Coli bacteria, or a pickup in orders for its commercial satellite-phone systems. As its commercial ventures are spun off we believe that it will attain a valuation similar to incubator/holding companies Thermo Electron and Safeguard Scientific. Therefore we are applying a forward P/E of 26 times our 1998 estimate, 35 cents a share, and establishing a six-month target price of $9.10. Our 18-month price target is $11.75, or 26 times our calendar 1999 earnings estimate of 45 cents.>
