Michelle, this does not "damage the presidency" as you put it. This is about the man, not the office. FDR was before my time, and JFK was elected when I was a little girl. But I still don't have any credible evidence that they lied directly to the American people. If they did, then it should be shame on them, not oh, these other people lied, so it's ok for Slick to say whatever benefits him. Are you a subscriber that it's ok to do something wrong because someone else did it?

Just want to point out that Kennedy would have been impeached had he not been killed. Congress had already started investigating the Ellen Romisch spy scandal and Hoover would have nailed Kennedy during the hearings. Kennedy's indiscretions were not OK and not private....the Judith Campbell affair influence the Bay of Pigs failure. That Kennedy was using her to pass information on to Giancana and that Romisch was an E. German spy would have been enough to nail him.

Like I said, I knew he lied about Genifer Flowers the first time around on 60 minutes and I voted for him anyway. We all knew this.

Ah, the ever-shifting spin...as I recall, most people believed Clinton's denials. At least the media did, because the issue went away after he denied it on "60 minutes". The only people who thought he was a liar were a handful of right-wing wackos (turns out they were right all along about Clinton).

What "we knew" was that Clinton had some infidelities in his past, and they were a thing of the past.

This voyeurism has damaged the presidency for years to come.

Clinton is damaged, the presidency will be fine.

LOL! It sure has damaged the Presidency. Clinton has that is. Some may lie about personal indiscretions but the President should not when he is testifying in a civil case or to a grand jury. JLA
