Yeah, I guess if you were a governor who exposed your weenie to a state employee at her job and told her to kiss it.... You may want to think twice before seeking higher office.....

And if she comes forward with her accusations.... please... settle out of court! And don't make fun of her saying she is just a greedy white trash from a trailer park. That is NOT conducive to the settlement deal...

Michelle,

One of the most interesting comments I've heard since the Starr Report was released yesterday was about Pres. Lincoln. The person said that before the Civil War erupted Abraham Lincoln was considered a laughingstock as President. The way he handled the war and rose to the occasion completely changed all that.

If Pres. Clinton survives this ongoing firestorm, he could indeed go on to become one of our greatest Presidents. His desire to improve his image in History alone, would be a great motivator.

Ann

"Well I think its terribly damaging, terribly humiliating for a US president to go through this, and I think the rest of the world is laughing and shocked at this. "

I agree. So why are you defending the person that caused this travesty?

"And lots of good people will never consider public office after this, lest their personal life get plumbed by the right wing fanatics."

Like the left wing extremists never dragged anyone through the mud. Do you remember the garbage that came from the White House spin machine concerning Monica's quest for "Presidential kneepads"? Do you honestly believe that any woman would say that? I heard an attempt by the spin machine to claim that Monica just wanted the money. It's funny that she had to be secretly tape recorded and then threatened with indictment before she admitted it, if all she wanted was the money.

"uh same for everybody else here but we all know they had affairs dont we?"

My question is did they go on TV (radio in FDR's case) wag their finger at the American public and bald faced lie about it? Did they set an organized spin machine out to discredit the women that they had affairs with?

"These are things you do not ask about, private matters."

So, why did Clinton choose to go public with his lie?

It's about his lying, not about his affairs.
