Bill -

<<How do you argue that suddenly from the ether, computers will discover an additional two digit number after 99? [For those unfamiliar with computer math, 98 + 2 = 00 when dealing with two digit
numbers. 100 is not valid since it's a three digit number, which by definition does not exist.]>>

Your ignorance astounds me.

Would you be more explicit, svp? Ignorance of what? I assume you're trying to tell me something more than I'm a fool, but I'm not getting it.

Bill -

the fact that every single one of these stocks collapsed should tell you something.

It certainly does... the stocks were hyped into the stratosphere and customers have not been spending the predicted truck loads of money.

Please to help me to understand how/why you perceive that the Y2K problem is NOT pervasive.

Software efforts of all sorts are notoriously late & over budget. Why would Y2K (the Mother of all maintenance efforts) be any different.

What have I missed?
