Maurice,

Have not been following the Q lately, but just read in my local paper that some new outfit is setting up a CDMA network here in Alaska to compete with the existing TDMA systems. My question: If I bought a QCOM phone now would it work with G* when it starts up, or would I have to get a different QCOM phone?

P.S. Over the weekend we had another one of those life-or-death cell phone rescues. A duck hunter got stuck up to his knees in the Turnagain Arm tide flats, and thanks to his cell phone was pulled out 30 minutes before the tide came in. (Our local tides are second only to the Bay of Fundy.)
