Bernard, Doug. Thanks for your typically thoughtful replies. I am sure that zebraspot must be in absolute heaven, now that thread 'boosterism' is in full retreat. After reflecting on your posts, I've decided to hold with a view toward adding later. In other words, you have each in different ways convinced me that this is not the buy point which was my first inclination after this debacle. But you haven't convinced me to sell. I don't like taking losses in tax deferred accounts, and you know what? the difference between 10 and 6 just doesn't scare me anymore. Hell if you've ridden down from the 30's, what's a few more points? I'll buy that there are more potential bad gremlins than good gremlins that are overhanging the satellite stocks in general, and G* in particular, so that the odds probably do favor decline rather than ascendancy. I really buy Doug's point that it probably ain't gonna run away on us anytime soon. Bernard, I do hope your reading of your namesake [the one that runs LOR] is incorrect. Mr. Schwartz is merely following in the pattern of many successful businessmen who want to make a difference; men who understandably are contemplating their mortality. Carnegie went nuts with libraries, Bernie forked over a few truckloads of dough for the democrats. That doesn't mean he's lost his touch for running a business. I'll bet you a double scotch and soda [twist] that Bernard is so bent out of shape just now that I, for one, wouldn't want to be within a mile of him. He must be just a trifle P.O.'d with the Democratic Party at the moment; and his engineering team must be under withering review. I'll grant you that he is legendary at cost control {that's one of the reasons I'm invested with him}, but I cannot bring myself to believe that he acted imprudently by choosing unreliable launch vehicles purely on the basis of 'cheap', as your post suggests. So, I'm sticking with Bernie via LOR, GSTRF, and to a lesser extent QCOM. I don't think my account statements are going to make terrific reading over the next couple of months, but I'm prepared for that. I do thank you both again, however, for sharing your views and for altering my intended course of action. Kind Regards, Mike Doyle
