<<Just disputing the statement, ".....the President is accorded less rights than any citizen>>.

Jim, when is the last time that you have observed "Joe citizen" exposed to such scrutiny with their private life??

To be clear, I understand that what he did was not considered to be in the best taste for a President, and perhaps not for the average Joe, however we have now set new criteria for the behavior of our future politician's. Perhaps criteria that they can not live up to.

My personal opinion in January was that he was not telling the truth. I felt that his response should have been " None of your business". He obviously made a grave mistake with an attempt to hide the facts.

The unfortunate result of this "burning at the stake" will be "paybacker time" and eventually escalate to the ridiculous, if it has not already.

<<Also, the Republican's don't want to see Gore in for the next 2 years. He would be an incumbent President and twice as hard to defeat.>>

I think that the Republicans already have that covered by the investigation of "campaign financing". Covering all the bases me thinks.

Jim, no axe to grind, just the opinion of an observer.

Take care,
Dan
