Well, I do not see how you can deny that both parties have a different approach. One sucks up to public opinion, and the other (not that either one is saintly), looks at things from a logical point of view. As I recall, in the bear of '74, a Democrat would have told you that it was necessary to pay higher taxes to make up for the shortfall. A Republican would have told you that it was necessary to incur more debt to spin us out of the situation. Who was right? Vitas
