***OT*** While I did not mean to continue the OT discussions, as I stated in my post it was striking a nerve. Almost as bad a nerve as insinuating that I believe DELL only climbs. I will have to check my profile again to see if it implies that but I play puts on DELL more than I play calls. I actually liked CPQ more in the past however I am also a TA biased investor/trader and pulled out of CPQ a while back due to its weakness weither deserved or not. DELL is over priced I agree but it is also much more volatile than CPQ and as such provides greater opportunities both long and short for ST trades.

CPQ has vision that DELL does not and is moving into other avenues for future growth while DELL is happy to become the most efficient box maker. DELL is keeping costs down better than anyone else but in the future, PCs will be like TVs in that they will all be alike and people will buy whatever is on sale that day when they need a new one. The days of > $2000 PCs is coming to an end unless some new hog software is released. CPQ on the other hand is expanding their horizons to diversify so that they will not be trapped when the day comes where PCs are just another cheap commodity.

As for being a cop wanna be, no thanks. The criminals have all the rights and the cops get no respect. As for heavy bombers, yes and I am proud of my career even though apparently it gets no respect. As disgusting as it sounded about having to be willing to do an ugly job if asked. The policy worked for over 40 years and brought about indirectly great strides in technology. I have been privey to seeing many modern conveniences well in advance of their public use. GPS was originally installed on BUFFs long ago as an alternate navigation aid to increase bombing accuracy. Now every boater keeps one to find their favorite fishing hole. The PC you are using has roots in the processors we used for navigation and targeting in the 70s which led to the public release of the old commodore 64s. My only point on the Flinn fiasco was you have to do what you signed up to do like it or not. I was not making any reference to gender. I was equally ticked off by the whiners both locally and on the news when Desert Shield/Storm started and the GIs were whining because they only signed up to get a free education. The military is called the service for a reason. We are here to serve as our country needs us to, not to be served. We do request that our commander in chief lead by example however as we are required to do. I would be court martialled in a heart beat if I did any of the things he has done in the past or is accused of now. If he walks, how many GIs will be able to use him as a precedent (pardon the pun) when they go to trial for the same offenses?

Edit - Just checked my profile and apparently the poster who misunderstood the remark did not see the "<ggg>" after my DELL remark in the my favorite quotes box. ( You do know that means a grin as in a joke.)
