Someone said that if both Bill and Al resign, we would get Newt as President. Not so quick. After Al gets into office (assuming he does), the first order of business is to pick a new VP.

This person would have to be as pure as the virgin snow. Hmm..Ted Kennedy? Nooo. Has to be a Conservacrat. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, I'm old enough to remember the Nixon era. As a trivia point, I believe that those events brought to office the only man ever to be President who was not first elected either President or Vice President--Gerald Ford.

I wonder if that could happen again if Bill resigns, and Al goes too as a result of CampaignGate, or whatever it's being called.

No. Actually I don't but I think it is interesting that I never see this one reported like the ones from the CLinton News Network (CNN), etc. JLA
