Decidedly OT, but in response to one of your posts.

what is happening to silicon investor, doesnt anyone join to find investments, 6 out of 7 topics on hot lists from coffee shop, we are only thread on list even in investing section of si, sheesh every other hot topic thread talking about cigars or vacations.

Cav:

Actually 4 of them talk about WJC, our possibly future ex-President. The daytrader and short threads maintain consistent volume. Check our Profits of Doom, Goldfinger's Thread, Steamrollers Daytrades, Befriend the Trend, Tim Luke, etc.

Hot threads are the ones that show marked increases in activity and help point out where the action is increasing....what's topical.

re: vacations - I started it as a diversion. Anyone is welcome to come over and share some info on great vacation spots. All work/no play....eh?

I agree Cav. That's a sad state of affairs. SI was very different when I first joined. It has become much more difficult to find and have just stock discussion...

I'm trying Cavalry! It's unfortunate that most of the Hot List has nothing to do with investing at all. Last night I wanted to give you a URL to an article pointing out the increased insider buying that I had found at Bloomberg but the link was not active. Today it is and although it is a couple weeks old the insider buying to sell ratio is only increasing:

bloomberg.com

If everything is so bad then why are insiders buying at a higher rate than anytime in the last three years? Why did the market go up on Friday after the release of the Starr Report?

InvestRight

With as many posts as you have had here lately I think that those who are still shorting so many stocks would love to see you squeezed right off the Hot List. If that happens, and even if it doesn't, please feel free to share your ideas with the readers of the InvestRight thread. Anytime!
