This is correct. It will be a case similar to what we were taught in high school way-back-when, that all squares are rectangles but all rectangles are not squares. All G* satellite phones will also be able to speak to cellular or PCS systems, but ordinary cellular or PCS phones will not be able to talk to the satellites. Of course, there will be different flavors of G* phones, too, since GSM is different than CDMA, etc.
