It was a catch 22; legal risk vs. political risk. It was a setup. A jaywalking case being used to destroy the President by forcing him in an unprecedented way to disclose private behavior in a public arena . Some situations you are just forced to lie about in life and this was certainly one of them. They are rare; they should be rare, but everyone has had that moment where they had to compromise their absolute value on honesty for the good of the circumstance. It takes a jury to sort out whether someone had to lie; I think this is one of them. THE QUESTION NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN to publicly humilate him in a way totally disproportionate to this office and circumstanceASKED OF A SITTING PRESIDENT IN THE FIRST PLACE; THAT IS THE ISSUE AND WHAT IS NOT DEBATABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is what a majority of American's understand. It was a setup.
