Micky; In regards to Okra, you should pick the pods before they get much larger than 2 inches- for that's when they are at their sweetest. If you keep harvesting them, they will produce until the freeze, or the weather turns too cold for them to grow further. If you let the pods go to seed, the whole plant will stop producing.

Canning tomato sauce today. Will have about 8-10 qts. buy the time it is all cooked down. Autumn is a wonderful time of the year here!
