Mr. Pink, regarding Conseco, what's the story behind Ray Dirks' now-missing "sell" (or was it "short"?) recommendation? He had quite a lengthy writeup of all sorts of fishy goings-on, on his site raydirks.com - but the report was pulled some time ago.

I had heard that there was some sort of legal action between Conseco and Dirks, and that part of the settlement involved removal of this report. True?

Anyhow, if the essence of Dirks' report was true then, it should still be true now - regardless of whether he can (or wishes to) continue to publish it.

So Mr. Pink, is Conseco worth investigating as a short, or simply worth avoiding as a long?
