Hard to say, good doc. Even if Japan does continue to sink, as you say, there isn't really a direct correlation to US markets (if there were, we'd be a lot a lower now). I'm beginner to suspect that things are nearing a bottom in Asia. There *will* be a bottom at some point; there are so many good companies selling for ridiculously below book right now in Asia. . . . Japan *will* turn it around at some point, we just don't know when. They still have all of their best resource (an educated and driven workforce), the biggest single pool of capital in the world ($9 trillion), lots and lots of good technology, and a real desire to get out of this mess. The Nikkei could drift downward lots more, but when the turnaround comes, it'll be big.
