Unless these are incrementally added positions.

<<There is an 8 by 4 inch ad in this mornings Mpls. paper by Ancor. They are hiring a Sr. Design
Simulation Engineer, a Sr. ASIC Design Engineer, and a Board Logic Engineer.>>

If the information we have been getting about the lack of attrition at Ancor are true, this doesn't make
much sense either, especially given Brocade's recent cutbacks.

Unless this involves an expansion and ANCR knows something we dont know--hmmmm

Craig,

With the unemployment rate for engineers in the Twin Cities
extremely low it is amazing that Ancor's attrition rate can stay at
almost at zero. The fact that Ancor is continuing to add people
suggests that they are very confident about landing some OEM's
and getting new financing.

My scenario for the next 3 months is that the Federal Reserve is
going to cut interest rates to prevent further declines in Japan,
Latin America, and other Asian countries. This will revive
small cap speculative stocks such as Ancor that have declined so
much due to the flight to quality. If you combine this upturn
in small cap stocks with say 1 to 3 OEM announcements during
the remainder of this year combined with new financing I think
Ancor could see some spectacular percentage increases in it's
stock price from the current price.

All IMHO,
Steve

You're an engineer, right?.

Good evening, Mr. Stevenson. There is a small company in the Minneapolis area that has taken the money of a bunch of well intentioned investors and refuses to divulge the company's current status. In so doing, the company, Ancor Communications, is tieing up the resources of this important group, thus not allowing them to invest in other companies and thereby posing a threat to our economic stability. Your mission is to apply for any of the recently published jobs, penetrate the inner sanctum of Ancor and then report back to the group at the Silicon Investor web site. Your team for this mission will include local Agents Scribe, Iceburg and Dawson. As always, should you or any other agents of the IMF be caught, the agency will disavow any knowledge of your activities. Good luck. This post will self destroy in 5 seconds.
