Eugene,

The problem again with YHOO is book value, which is $1.59. No doubt now with new technology the whole company could be reproduced exactly as is for IMO around $1/sh. Now you can make an argument for name recognition and customer loyalty but not at 50X this number, maybe 2X or 3X. Again, this is not complicated technology, why would anyone pay more than that?
BTW next years earnings estimates $0.46. Heck I like YHOO I'll give em 30X next years earnings and think about the stock at $14. But probably by next year stiff competition will already be eating into those earnings, so I reserve the right to reconsider then.

Best Regards,

Derrick

Eugene:

Everyone likes Bill. Bill has, at times, proven to make some uncanny short term calls. Bill does not position himself as prophet and i don't think that he is one. More importantly, Bill has often been trying to justify amzn based on FA not short term TA. See, we do understand the difference between trading and investing. I only invest, I don't trade and have no quibble with anyone who claims to trade since I don't really believe in or care too much about TA.

Guess you haven't read enough of me yet. $-)

>> This recent criticism is most amazing since he posted that things would turn up 30 minutes before the close Thursday, and we have witnessed a 250 point rally since. <<

Ahh, but did his AOL, YHOO, AMZN, participate in that rally? Nope. All flat or down.

>> but hold onto your wallet if you get on the other side of a trade with Bill. <<

Correct...unless the other side happens to be MY side! Then it's ok.

Don't you think MSFT might put a crimp in YHOO's growth over the coming year?
