Yaacov,

On Thursday after the market closed, Intel preannounced that their 3Q98 revenue will be 8-10% HIGHER than they said it would be only 2 months ago when the released their 2Q98 earnings. They also said gross margins would be about 2% higher than previously discussed - about 51%. The news was totally unexpected by the analysts and the market but not by Intel bulls who post often on the Intel thread.

So - the market loved it and INTC rose all day without any pullback. I expect we'll be testing 90 this week. Kurlak is an idiot. I use him only as a means to pick up cheap calls and stock. See my recent post on the Intel thread that trashes him good.

As far as what the target price is in 3-6 months. I don't listen to the analysts but my personal target is 120-130. I expect that October's earnings report will be strong and the 4Q98 report in January to be even better. Good news ahead and you're right that most of what could go wrong already has so the market should go up from here.

I can't imagine Clinton resigning soon but I hope he does. I think impeachment will have imminent before he even considers it. He ought to resign but he's acting like he won't. If he resigned now, the grand jury, which is still in session would indict him for more than one felony. SO, he won't put himself in that jeapordy until there is no other alternative. I think this will drag on until the facts about what he did to the Presidency and thus to the country are clear to everyone. This might take a while - IF it happens. Many here are willing to forgive and forget and move on. Many aren't. I'm one of the latter.

I'm still planning a trip to Italy at the beginning of November and will drop you an E-mail with the details. I'll be looking forward to seeing you again.

Take care.

Barry
