<<Phil, I hate it when you put words in my mouth. I never stated that iMac unit shipment can not be higher than my estimate of 320K. Current estimate range from 250K to 400K+. What I do challenge are the following:

1) iMac unit shipment in Aug was 360K
2) iMac unit shipment for the quarter will be around 600-700K
3) total unit shipment will double this quarter or be significantly higher than 1 million

Well, you still stick with what you proposed range (250k - 400k+).
One thing you have to remember is that Lou's estimate was around
August 15th, but IDC's estimate was just last week. I believe IDC's
is closer to up-to-date info. I also suspect that Lou's estimate
was applying only to domestic orders. I keep mentioning the overseas
sales volume could be equivalent to that of US sales during this
quarter. We cannot ignore international sales. Japan is an excellent
example, iMac sales in that country is incredibly well. Rodg's
explanation on total sales volume is convincing to me and consistent
with what I thought. It's always less embarrassing to shoot lower
number than adjust higher later on than the other way around, isn't
it? Apple's overseas sales accounted for about 50% of ovaerall
revenues, significantly higher than DELL and GTW.

Hey, we just elaborate based on words from IDC, PC data as well as
CBS. If you ask me who to believe. Sorry, I would believe them.
