This is from another post.
-------------------------
Critics of repurchase programs claim they simply serve as a short- term means of halting a stock's downward spiral.
ÿ"It works as a temporary fix to stop a selloff from being overdone, but that's all I would give it," said Bill Mackenzie, vice-president at Fairvest Securities Corp. in Toronto.
ÿFundamentally, nothing changes within a company when cash is replaced by shares and the effort turns into a zero sum game.
ÿHe suggested the need for companies to stem the dilutive effect of option plans as one possible reason for the popularity of buybacks -- as has been the case in the U.S.
---------------------------

If fundamentally nothing changes within a company...a companies efforts to by back stock at .02 would allow them to re-issue the stock later at a higher price, as I understand your remarks.

This is all predicated on false PR's etc. But even so, when buy back occures that stops a downward trend and boost the price of stock. I do think IDCN is a actual company with a viable plan (not a scam), but I do agree it remains to be seen if they are successful in their endeavors.

I don't think that mgt. of IDCN has been all that forthright in everything either, but I don't look for it to close its doors. If these so called TUNS reports are positive, like I speculate they will be, the stock should become sound. As it is, it seems to hold its on in price around .05, even when the economic world is falling apart.

I lost more a percentage in the better stocks, and in the index funds, this past few weeks then in IDCN.

Best to you

Actually I talked to several people
who are with company or who were with them in the past who have been buying shares on the open market recently.
I checked the logs on the day one said they said
bought and I found one of the large block trades they mentioned.
I don't think they are looking to do a buyback now.
My impression is they have big positions now
and expect to make progress on the mine with
share value going up.

You said the stock was worthless.

You indicated they have no contract for the garnet. The buyout was a scam. The mines are worthless.

Bottom line for you? A scam.

Now to my question.

If IDCN is a scam like you say and the owners know it is a scam then why in the world would they invest the time and money to buy back the stock. The answer is they wouldn't. They would simply issue more shares. If they were already at the authorized amount then they could simply amend the charter, since they own the majority of shares.
