Right, shoot the messenger. So common a reaction. You want to blame someone for this entire thing, blame the perpetrator: Clinton. He is the one who defied U.S. District Court Judge Susan Webber Wright's order to comply with the subpoena and testify completely and truthfully.

Clinton rolled the dice and decided he could get away with perjury, and so willfully lied to the Court in strictly secret proceedings, the secrecy of which was very important to this court, according to Judge Susan W-W. So you see, Clinton really was just ashamed of his actions, and so decided to lie to the Judge.
