Caught an interesting little bit in our globe and mail this morning.... Paul D Phelan, is selling stake in food concern to other family members...

"I think we are in the first stages of a bear market, and with the year 2000 coming up , I think it's going to be more serious than people have experienced or can understand, and therefore I just want to be in cash."

This is from the Temple Williams web site. Check out his record, he has been doing well. BTW How come he hasn't posted here since 8/3?

Clearly, the Bull is running out of space and time. The Alternate Count remains alive. But just barely. The Preferred
remains the most likely scenario. The bullish Alternate can still make a charge. But it has to do it today, or give it up.

The Alternate Count would move powerfully higher, with a break above 1060 Cash SPX after a series of 3rd wave
extensions. If that break occurs, the averages might break through 1100.00 Cash SPX by Friday afternoon. This series
targets new, all-time highs before the end of September.

4:08 p.m. Market Closing Comment from yesterday: I think we completed the "a" of the "a-b-c" of "2" of "III" at the
close. Much of tomorrow should be a "relief rally" ... but we could easily start with a gap lower. If we do, then I think
that gap will be filled. I might even try a Spike & Strike G-Trade "buy" if Globex sets it up overnight. Once we get
into the "3" of "III" ... which I expect on Monday (maybe it starts tomorrow late) ... then the downside slide will scare
the pants off a lot of people. All assuming that the Preferred Count is correct. The Alternate Count? I dunno. I gotta do
the charts. It may have a smidgen of life left in it. Trade safe. Trade great. See you tomorrow.

My indicators have been negative since the end of July except for 8/18 and 9/8 when the indicators went slightly positive only to retreat into negative territory the next day.
