Daniel,

I enjoy reading your posts because they ring so true vis-a-vis my own learning experiences.

I've been day trading since the last week of July. Had a lucky week then (as I didn't know what I was doing), only to see the profit more than evaporate in August, with some horrible trades to close out the month.

Since September began, I've been very consistent, which I hope is a sign that I'm starting to gain a long-term successful style. Like you, I'm trading just 1 or 1 1/2 hours in the morning, then off to work. Occasionally, I can get in 1 more hour during lunch break at work, but it is difficult to find the time.

Like you, I'd love to go to full-time day trading, but I know that I need a much more definitive track record, and a return that exceeds my work-based return. Time will tell. My wife has suggested that I take a week off from work, day-trade, and determine how that return compares to my work wages. Sounds like a plan.

Best,
Gary Korn
