that was a question I had.. besides the esthetics of the piece, what can you actually DO
with it ???


You can surf the net and the processor is more than adequate for Java, etc. However, the machine is very limited for other uses particularly business.

I believe Apple will do well in selling the iMac. The machine is geered for new computer users that konw nothing about computers. Once the bugs are out, it is plug and surf.I believe this was good thinking on the part of Apple. They have been quuickly losing market share. There are still a lot of people not on the net but wondering what they are missing when every TV ad they see has a web page. They will buy this for Christmas. It will sell well. It is just not for you and me. Think of it as an appliance. It is a toaster but looks fine in the living room.
