James. Shorting the DIAs is like shorting anything. The risk is that it will go to 9000!! But seriously, it is like shorting anything. When it hit up 200 friday around 3, I said "This has to pullback," and it did. I just wanted to make enough for dinner, and I made enough for two (without wine-- it's BYOB in the NJ/Philly area in a lot of places). As for puts, well, I always buy and sell within 2 days, so ST puts are for me. But I may buy October puts if the up move lasts past Weds. Let's keep in touch! Futures look weak but I suspect we're going higher tommorrow.

Just a quick look at the SPX P&F style..

Looks to be basing with higher bottoms (bullish). Still below trend line but it is on a buy signal. First bottom break at 965 and then 955. Next buy signal at 1030. Looks like demand is coming in.
