Charlie: Good work

Most of my indicators are about 3/4's toward indicating a major bottom. I'll watch this Lowry indicator too. It will be interesting to see how the market responds to DIS earnings debacle. PG was recently taken to the cleaners on bad earnings (marginally bad). That stock has completely broken down technically. These are the "safe" stocks. Tomorrow will be important as the indices are now up into some serious resistance. If we fail here (S&P @ 1050) then we'll probably retest the lows. Then we'll see just how strong this market is. If we get another leg down, that'll be the bottom. The breakdown of all the financials is ominous. Guess it's finally sinking in that the 3/4's of the world's economies are in recession.

Here's more on that MOT box.

Looks like it's got some pretty spiffy electronics on that second chip. It also includes support for - you guessed it - JAVA!

Hello Charlie,

Nice recap, thanks......

As a side note...I am so sick of Barrons negative twist on everything I could throw-up. Anyone who followed Barrons over the last 4 years must be just about out of money by now!!!!

Dave

Keep those interesting items coming. The first item is from theYahoo-IDTI board which tends to to involve tremendous amounts of invective comments. This one has a little less "IDTI is going to hell" feel to it:

< I don't believe that your comments are well founded. IDT does not have tons of debt. It also has approximately 200 million in cash with a market cap of only 350 million. That alone makes the company look attractive. I am a design engineer in Florida and just talked with the local IDT sales person here in the state. I trust his info since I have known him for 8 years both in business and socially. He indicates that SRAM sales are good but margins not so good (that's what happens when every body and their brother goes after one market). He also says that specialty memory sales (dual ports, fifo's, modules etc) are doing very well, as are logic sales. He said that these were actually ahead of schedule. The RISC product line is doing very well especially with their large customers (CISCO, BAY, etc). As far as the WIN chip is concerned, they have some low end design wins, but he expects that their customer base will expand quite a bit when they get the 300 and 350 MHZ versions running. Just thought some info with a more positive spin would be nice for a change.>

...On the other hand I see the market testing the low 7000's again in October which will put pressure on IDTI given their lousy short term & unknown intermediate(3XXMhz) prospects. If they do get into the 3.X range then their net worth will be approaching the cash levels.
